International Plowing Match hardware was handed out at the Dinner of Excellence in Harriston.
Scott Thomas of Elmwood started the night being named Class 1, Group 1 reserve champ. Thomas was also runner up for the Champion Horse Plow Person Award. He later added to his haul with the Lloyd VanDusen Award.
Group 2 Horse Plower Kathleen MacRobbie of Mt. Forest was also a reserve champion.
Perhaps the winner of the night was Shawn Ryan of Dashwood.
He was named Ontario's reserve Junior Champion for 2-Furrow plowing. He is also one of two junior winners to compete next year at the Canadian Championships. Ryan capped the night by winning the $2,500 Barbara McAllister Memorial Scholarship.
Another area winner was Gerald Corbett of Exeter who was named reserve champ in Open Reversible Plowing.
Carmen Weppler claimed top honours as Ontario's Conventional Plowing champion.
Tiverton's Tom Evans is Ontario's Reversible Plowing reserve champ.
The Antique Tractor competition was won by Ken Milligan of Strathroy.
Atwood's Riley Terpstra took the title for 3-Furrow plowing for those with less than 3 years competition. Matthew Magwood of Hanover was runner up.
Also for less than 3 years experience, Erich Weber of Ayton was dubbed reserve champ in 4-Furrow plowing.
