Coffee, Crops, and Donuts Series Continues Next Week

Over 150 farmers have made their way out to connect and learn from one another.

Saugeen and Maitland Conservation Authorities say the Coffee, Crops and Donuts workshop series has been building better relationships between farmers and themselves.

General Manager of Saugeen Conservation Wayne Brohman says the program has helped authorities engage producers and champion the work they've done.

Topics covered in the series have included no-till management, strip till management, pollinator health, and cover crops.

Authorities say the workshops are taught by fellow farmers, giving the chance for each to determine which practices might work best for them.

They add the next Coffee, Crops and Donuts workshop will be held on September 12th.

The free session will feature cover crops and berms.

It will run from 9 to 11 am at the farms of Harrison Burgsma and Regan Milian near Dungannon.
