U-S Corn Condition Slips - Soybeans, Spring Wheat Holding

The condition of the U-S corn crop slipped a bit over the past week.

The USDA has it two points lower at 74 per cent good to excellent - still 4 points better than it was a year ago.

Soybeans and spring wheat remained unchanged at 72 per cent for soybeans, 68 per cent for wheat.

For soybeans, that's 9 points ahead of a year ago.

For spring wheat, 1 point behind.

The USDA says 94 per cent of the U-S winter wheat crop has been harvested so far - 3 points ahead of the five year average, 2 points behind last year's pace.

And 30 per cent of the American spring wheat crop has now been harvested - 12 points better than the five year average, 8 points ahead of last year.
