Three men described as visionary leaders will be inducted into the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame this fall.
The late James Bartlett, Robert Switzer and John Willmott are this year's inductees.
Bartlett was from Beamsville, Ontario.
His Ontario-based company became the only national horticulture crop protection distributor in Canada.
Bartlett also helped create and later chair what is now known as CropLife Canada.
Switzer and Willmott are both from Saskatchewan.
Switzer is a distinguished Angus breeder, promoter and judge credited as being instrumental in introducing the Certified Angus Beef brand to the entire value chain.
John Willmot helped the Canadian Western Agribition grow into one of the best beef shows on the continent and was integral to establishing Canada's Farm Progress Show.
Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame President Herb McLane says this year's inductees channelled their passions into advances and opportunities to make agriculture matter even more.
This year's hall of fame induction will be held November 6th at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto.
