The Ontario Veterinary College has lost what it calls a long-standing and cherished member of the OVC community.
Professor Emeritus Doctor Brian Derbyshire passed away last Friday.
He joined the OVC at the University of Guelph in 1971.
While at OVC, Doctor Derbyshire served in a number of roles - including Chari of the Department of Veterinary Microbiology and Immunology, Acting Dean of Graduate Studies and a member of the University of Guelph's Board of Governors.
Doctor Derbyshire's funeral is tomorrow in Guelph.
