Dairy Farmers of Canada President Wally Smith says everything DFC is doing today they're doing to position the sector for an even brighter future for those to come.
That was part of Smith's president's address to this week's Dairy Farmers of Canada annual general meeting in Prince Edward Island.
He also contrasted Canada's supply managed system with what's going on in the rest of the global dairy sector.
Smith argues deregulation hasn't delivered and the countries that are coping best globally are those with strong domestic markets.
Dairy Farmers of Canada was founded in 1934 to represent the interests of Canadian dairy farmers.
