Sprucing Up Wellington County For 2016 IPM

Organisers are hoping Wellington County residents will see the IPM 2016 Beautification Competition as a way to show pride in their county.

The contest has categories for both urban and rural properties.

The theme is Fresh Taste of Farming.

Spokesperson Justine Lennox says they want people to highlight agriculture in Wellington County and help welcome the 70 thousand plus visitors the IPM is expected to draw to the event.

"So you can include things like hay, sunflowers, corn stalks, plows of course, rubber boots are pretty popular for us this year. Just anything to promote the theme Fresh Taste of Farming."

The entry fee is 10 dollars.

Displays need to be completed by September 1st and stay up until after the match.

Winners will be named shortly before the IPM begins.

There are cash prizes for the top three entries in each category.
