One of the highlites of the first-ever Canadian Beef Industry Conference is expected to be a series of sessions called Bov-Innovation.
They're intended to be of interest to cow-calf and feedlot operators.
Andrea Brocklebank of the Canadian Beef Cattle Research Centre expects them to be different than most cattlemen are used to.
She's promising dynamic speakers with lively presentations and lots of visuals.
The Canadian Beef Industry Conference runs August 9th to the 11th.
The Bov-Innovation sessions are on the middle day - August 10th.
The conference is described as an opportunity to participate in beef industry meetings, learn about new developments and expand business and industry networks.
A number of the country's major beef organisations are joining forces for this conference, including bringing some of their major meetings together in one event.
While this year's event is going to be held in Calgary, organisers say they're looking at moving it to other locations in future years.
