The sector including Canada's agriculture industry posted a small decrease in gross domestic product from February to March.
Statistics Canada says the agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting industry's GDP was down half a per cent.
However, the March GDP for that sector was up 2 per cent from March of 2015.
The overall GDP was down point 2 per cent from February to March - up 1 point 1 per cent from March of 2015.
