Total Receipts 2789 cattle & 749 lambs & goats

Summary Tuesday Fed steers and heifers sold on a good active trade at prices teady to last week’s market. Choice strs and hfrs 160.00 – 165.00 sales to 185.50. Second cut 157.00 – 160.00. Cows sold on a good active trade at steady prices. Thursday Veal sold stronger on an active demand at prices $2-5 higher. Lambs and goats sold steady while sheep sold on a good steady trade Friday Calves and yearlings sold on a strong active trade at prices $5-10 higher.

Steers

John Richardson of Harriston consigned 5 cattle that averaged 1320 lbs and sold for an average price of 165.36. Two steers averaged 1340 lbs and sold to Bruno’s Meat Distributors for 171.00.

Martin Metske of Lucknow consigned 10 cattle that averaged 1489 lbs and sold for an average price of 162.19. One black steer weighed 1585 lbs and sold to Sauder Transport for 166.00.

Heifers

Aaron F Martin of Newton consigned 15 cattle that averaged 1499 lbs and sold for an average price of 173.47. One black heifer weighed 1340 lbs and sold to Norwich Packers for 185.50

Ron Smith of Denfield consigned 16 heifers that averaged 1392 lbs and sold for an average price of 165.98. One red heifer weighed 1340 lbs and sold to Norwich Packers for 170.00

Cows There were 250 cows on offer
