Princess Auto customers have raised over 48 thousand dollars for childrens' farm safety programs.
Throughout March, cashiers at the company's stores asked customers to donate a toonie at the till to support Progressive Agriculture Foundation Safety Days for children in Canada.
The Canadian Agricultural Safety Association runs those programs in this country.
Executive Director Marcel Hacault says they have over 90 of those days scheduled in Canada , potentially hosting over 20 thousand children and volunteers.
The program involves one-day, age appropriate safety events to help children learn how to be safe on the farm.
Three of this year's programs were scheduled for our region.
One was in Listowel in April, the other two are coming up in July in Seaforth and Teeswater.
