A resolution is being distributed among member municipalities asking for changes in the way Saugeen Conservation operates.
The South Bruce Community Business Association argues delays to the Gay Lea expansion project in Teeswater are just some of the problems being created by the way the authority currently operates.
Spokesman Adam Ireland says his group has heard from a number of landowners and businesses with similar difficulties in dealing with Saugeen Conservation.
"There's a lot of issues in the whole watershed that are happening that the other municipalities, not all of them are getting as ticked off, maybe, as some of the South Bruce residents are."
The Association's resolution calls for minimum standards for response times to development requests and applications.
It also wants Saugeen Conservation to adopt a more conciliatory framework when working with residents and businesses to facilitate a better working relationship with the community and municipalities in the watershed.
Ireland says the resolution already has the support of the municipalities of South Bruce and Brockton.
