Junior Farmers Association of Ontario is joining forces with 4-H Ontario to offer a unique opportunity to members of both groups.
The All Ontario Judging Competition next month is open to members from both rural youth organisations.
Spokesperson Amanda Brodhagen calls it the most prestigious judging competition in the province.
"It's an opportunity to test your knowledge in a number of classes, including livestock, crops, lifeskills and work through an ID quiz and knowledge quiz and use your judging skills to provide both oral and written reasons."
While 4-H members often have judging competitions at the local level, Brodhagen believes this is the only change they have at a provincial competition which also includes Junior Farmers.
And for Junior Farmers, it's a chance to continue competing in judging for another 8 years after they move out of 4-H.
"It's a great opportunity for us to recruit members as well but also for us to offer a platform to test people's knowledge on judging. It's such a great skill to have."
The top 2 Senior 4-H members will have a shot at spots on the Ontario team in the judging competition at the Agribition in Saskatchewan.
The All Ontario Judging Competition is May 14th at the Ancaster Fairgrounds.
Early bird registration for the event has been extended to April 29th.
Details are on the Junior Farmers Association of Ontario website.
