Federal Agriculture Minister Lawrence MacAulay has wrapped up an agricultural trade mission to Japan and South Korea.
Representatives from the Canadian meat, grain and oilseed sectors were part of that mission.
It included stops at the G7 Agriculture Ministers' meetings in Niigata, Japan, meetings with Japanese grain, meat and oilseed reps in Tokyo and a meeting with South Korea's Agriculture Minister in Seoul.
MacAulay says the government will continue to showcase Canada to the world as a reliable supplier of high quality and safe agriculture and food products.
He says the goal is to gain new market opportunities to ensure a prosperous Canadian agricultural sector.
