Huron 2017 IPM Planning 'Right On Schedule'

The Chair of the 2017 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo in Huron County says things are starting to get busy as the date approaches.

But Jacquie Bishop adds they're right on schedule at this point.

Bishop says members of the Souvenir have already attended several events, including the Belmore Maple Syrup Festival over the weekend.

Bishop says the one thing they still need are more volunteers.

She explains they need volunteers now and then they'll need even more as next year's event draws closer.

Anyone interested in volunteering can go to the IPM 2017 web site.

The 2017 IPM runs from September 19th to the 23rd in Walton.

Bishop also points out the 2017 match is unique in that it is the 100th IPM and will be held in the year that Canada celebrates its 150th birthday.
