Total Receipts 2226 cattle & 374 lambs & goats

Summary Tuesday Fed steers and heifers sold steady. Choice strs and hfrs 160.00 – 164.00 sales to 166.50. Second cut 157.00 – 160.00. Cows sold on a steady market. Thursday Veal calves sold on a good demand at prices steady to the week’s decline. Lambs sold on a good active trade with sheep and goats selling steady. Friday Plain & Fleshy cattle sold on a steady market with choice calves selling at higher prices. Yearlings sold on a strong active trade at higher prices.

Steers

K/C McAlpine Farms of Ailsa Craig consigned 8 cattle that averaged 1571 lbs and sold for an average price of 162.79. One limo steer weighed 1610 lbs and sold to Clark Brothers Livestock for 164.50.

David Bowles of Brussels consigned one grey steer that weighed 1455 lbs and sold Clark Brothers Livestock for 164.25.

Heifers

Larry Reinhart Jr of Mildmay consigned 6 heifers that averaged 1203 lbs and sold for an average price of 166.13. Three black heifers averaged 1215 lbs and sold to Ryding Regency for 166.50.

Bruce Dale of Centralia consigned 12 heifers that averaged 1321 lbs and sold for an average price of 159.99. One black heifer weighed 1450 lbs and sold to Ryding Regency for 164.25.

Cows There were 250 cows on offer
