The federal government is putting another 27 million dollars into the Agricultural Greenhouse Gases Program.
That program supports research into greenhouse gas mitigation practices and technologies that can be adopted on the farm.
The first five years of that program provided 21 million dollars for 18 projects.
Those projects resulted in technologies and Beneficial Management Practices in four priority areas for farmers.
Those areas are livestock systems, cropping systems,, agricultural water use efficiency and agro-forestry.
The 27 million dollars announced this week will extend the Agricultural Greenhouse Gases Program another five years.
