A program has been launched to draw attention to the abundance of jobs available in Ontario's food and beverage processing sector.
It's the largest manufacturing employer in Ontario, with more than 125 thousand people currently working at more than 3 thousand businesses across the province.
Food and Beverage Ontario research suggests employers in the sector have problems finding qualified candidates.
They're looking for people trained in food safety, business, agriculture, food science as well as skilled trades and technology.
There are more than 140 programs at 22 Ontario colleges and 24 programs at seven universities to help people get that training.
The Taste Your Future career awareness program shares stories, videos and more outlining the education and ob opportunities available.
There's also a short quiz on the website - tasteyourfuture.ca - for people to take to help match people's interests with career opportunities.
The Taste Your Future program was launched by Food and Beverage Ontario with help from a number of groups, including Colleges Ontario, and financial support through Growing Forward 2.
