This year's conference featured four world-class speakers: the Hon. Jean Charest, Yvette d'Entrement, better known as blogger SciBabe, Andrew Ramlo, and Manjit Minhas.

Following the March Classic, Grain Farmers of Ontario held a 4R workshop in the morning and the semi-annual meeting for directors and delegates in the afternoon of March 23.

Tony Balkwill spoke before the semi-annual meeting. He is an independent agronomy specialist who won the inaugural Grain Farmers of Ontario Nuffield Scholarship. The Nuffield Scholarship was awarded to someone that focused on an area of study that directly benefits to the grain industry. Tony will be looking at the challenges of accurately modernizing historical soil type maps in field specific management zones by studying the geology and make-up of agriculture soil.
