The provincial government is putting 23 million dollars into a clinical learning building at the University of Guelph's Ontario Veterinary College.
The new learning space will use computer-based case studies, patient simulators and medical communications labs to give students hands-on, interactive learning experiences.
Renovations include providing new space in the college's existing veterinary hospital for advanced surgery and anaesthesia.
According to the funding announcement, the project will give OVC students access to almost 70 thousand square feet of new and renovated space.
The updating is designed to help the college maintain its status as a recognized global leader in its field.
