Funding Offered To Custom Manure/Biosolids Applicators

The Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association is bringing back last spring's Manure and Biosolids Management Program.

It provides funding for custom applicators in the Lake Huron southeast shores , Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair watersheds.

It's part of the Great Lakes Agricultural Stewardship Initiative.

OSCIA Executive Director Andrew Graham says the program has the ability to impact a larger geography than funding individual on-farm projects.

The Manure and Biosolids Management Program helps implement Best Management Practices that protect soil, minimize the risk of spills and improves application accuracy.

Funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

There's more information available on the Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association website.
