Each day of Grey Bruce Farmers Week features a producer panel devoted to a topic of interest for that particular day.
Spokesperson Lorie Smith says producers really seem to enjoy the panels as an opportunity to hear from fellow producers on commodity-specific topics.
This year's panels include one on the future of the beef industry on opening day, Beef Day.
Goat Day's panel includes processors, a broker and someone from Ontario Goat talking about the future of that industry.
And Crops Day has a panel looking at the use of cover crops in Grey and Bruce Counties.
Smith says "We had a very difficult time finding producers that are really using cover crops in Grey and Bruce, so that's why we added the question mark to the end of that title, because we had a hard time finding them. So we want to talk about what are some of the obstacles to getting into cover crops, why there aren't more people in Grey and Bruce utilizing them."
Grey Bruce Farmers Week opens with Beef Day on January 6th and wraps up with Crops Day on the 12th at the Elmwood Community Centre.
