Glen Ackroyd is a commercial beekeeper in the Tara area.
Two other new directors elected this year were Jannet Leggett and John VanAlten.
Leggett is from Toronto, VanAlten from Carlisle.
VanAlten is also a former board member and past president of the Ontario Beekeepers Association.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
