Total Receipts 2755 cattle & 371 lambs & goats

Summary Tuesday Fed steers and heifers sold on a selective demand at prices $1 lower. Fancy cattle traded at a premium. Choice strs and hfrs 157.00 – 160.00 sales to 187.50. Second cut 154.00 – 157.00. Cows sold steady to $1 higher. Thursday Holstein calves sold on a selective demand while beef calves sold steady. Heavy lambs sold lower while lighter lambs sold higher. Sheep and goats sold steady. Friday Calves sold under pressure and yearlings sold barely steady.

Steers

David Bowles of Brussels consigned 5 cattle that averaged 1324 lbs and sold for an average price of 157.06. One red steer weighed 1405 lbs and sold to Norwich Packers for 159.50.

Laverne M Martin of Holstein consigned 9 steers that averaged 1713 lbs and sold for an average price of 149.22. One black steer weighed 1570 lbs and sold Norwich Packers for 158.50. Heifers

Aaron F Martin of Newton consigned 11 cattle that averaged 1609 lbs and sold for an average price of 172.74. One blue heifer weighed 1630 lbs and sold to Norwich Packers 187.50.

Paul M Weber of Mount Forest consigned 17 heifers that averaged 1345 lbs and sold for an average price of 156.37. Ten char heifers averaged 1386 lbs and sold to Norwich Packers for 158.00.
