Total Receipts 2303 cattle & 439 lambs & goats

Summary Tuesday Fed steers and heifers sold on a good demand at steady prices. Choice strs and hfrs 157.00 – 161.00 sales to 165.75. Second cut 154.00 – 157.00. Cows sold on a selective demand. Thursday Good Holstein and slightly heavy Holstein calves were up $5-10, while beef calves and heavy Holsteins traded fully steady. Lambs, sheep and goats all sold steady Friday Calves and yearlings sold on an active trade at easier prices.

Steers

Woodham Farms of Woodham consigned 11 steers that averaged 1612 lbs and sold for an average price of 156.19. Two black steers averaged 1443 lbs and sold to Ryding Regency for an average price of 162.00.

Karen Bowles of Brussels consigned 5 steers that averaged 1450 lbs and sold for an average price of 160.12. Three black steers averaged 1465 lbs and sold to Norwich Packers for an average price of 161.50.

Heifers

Sidney B Martin of Harriston consigned 10 heifers that averaged 1249 lbs and sold for an average price of 157.60. Four limo heifers averaged 1295 lbs and sold to Norwich Packers for an average price of 165.75

Rod Bren Farms of Wingham consigned 7 cattle that averaged 1328 lbs and sold for an average price of 154.51. One gold heifer weighed 1430 lbs and sold to Ryding Regency for 163.50.

Joni J Shetler of Lucknow consigned 3 calves that averaged 772 lbs and sold for an average price of 206.31. One blue heifer weighed 770 lbs and sold for 253.00.

Lamar Frey of Listowel consigned 3 calves that averaged 877 lbs and sold for an average price of 242.57. One blonde steer weighed 877 lbs and sold for 249.00.
