One of the founders of Egg Farmers of Canada, a man involved in the development of 4-H across Canada and a cereal researcher are among those being inducted into the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame this weekend.
The Hall induction is normally done at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto.
This year, it's being done at the Canadian Western Agribition in Regina, Saskatchewan.
The late Ovila Level founded Canada's first provincial egg marketing board in Quebec.
Cereal Researcher Doctor Ron DePauw's contributions include the development of AC Barrie - a wheat cultivar that continues to set the standard today.
The late E. Ward Jones was the co-founder of what became 4-H in Manitoba and was involved in the development of 4-H across Canada.
The Honourable Grant Devine is also being inducted into the hall for his work as economist, professor, politician and 11th Premier of Saskatchewan.
And winemaker Anthony von Mandl from B-C is being recognised for his work putting the Okanagan Valley on the international wine map.
Sunday's induction is the first time the ceremony has been held in Western Canada.
