Masterfeeds has a new owner.
Alltech has purchased the Canadian commercial animal nutrition company.
Alltech President Doctor Pearse Lyons says the deal will enable more efficient delivery of animal nutrition and tailored feeding programs supported by what he calls robust scientific research.
Alltech also owns EMF Nutrition.
The addition of Masterfeeds gives it 25 feed manufacturing and premix facilities, nine retail locations and seven distribution centres in Canada.
Under the deal, Masterfeeds will continue to be headquartered in London.
Alltech is headquartered in Guelph.
