Royal Officials Working To Keep Agriculture Prominent In Annual Event

Peter Hohenadel says it's part of his mandate to make sure agriculture is still a very prominent part of the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.

He's the Royal's Director of Agriculture and Food.

While they can't do anything about the traffic, he says they do what they can to accommodate exhibitors and their livestock.

According to Hohenadel, that includes a wifi lounge, 24 hour food service and shuttles for people and equipment.

It seems to be working out.

Hohenadel says they have more agricultural entries this year than in the past few years with a waiting list of exhibitors who'd like to compete.

He's also got a couple of suggestions if you're planning to attend the event - avoid weekends, when the city crowds are the biggest - and wear comfortable shoes.

The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair runs from this Friday through to Sunday, November 15th, at Exhibition Place in Toronto.
