Andrew Campbell says he got at least two surprises when he started posting a picture a day on Twitter about farm life.
The former CKNX Farm Director says the first surprise was the amount of media attention he got.
The second was the attention from anti-farm activists.
But he says that attention was met with a strong showing of support from other farmers.
Campbell points out that every morning farmers get up morning and know what they're going to do that day and why.
But he says no one else knows that and farmers have to start having that conversation with consumers.
Campbell adds farmers have to start asking themselves if everything they're doing will stand up in that conversation or are there things they can change on their farm.
But he says the most important thing is that conversation has to take place.
Campbell was the guest speaker at the recent Huron County Federation of Agriculture annual meeting.

It got some initial negative reaction from anti-farm activists, but Campbell says it did drive home the point that farmers get up every day and know what they're going to do and why.
