American corn and soybean growers continue to run ahead of the five-year average with their harvests.
Corn is 85 per cent off, soybeans 92 per cent done.
That's 6 points ahead of the average for corn, 4 points for soybeans.
The USDA's latest Crop Progress Report has 88 per cent of the winter wheat planted - 2 points behind the average.
The department says that crop is now 49 per cent good to excellent - 2 points better than the previous week - but 10 points behind this time last year.
