A Seaforth-area farmer admits the response to his milk donation pledge has been a little overwhelming.
Derek Van Dieten is donating 100 litres of milk to area foodbanks for every home run the Blue Jays hit in the playoffs.
After last night's game, that's 900 litres.
Van Dieten says his family usually donates milk to provincial food banks through the Dairy Farmers of Ontario's annual program.
He thought this year he'd have some fun with it and it's taken off.
The Seaforth-area farmer says a number of other provincial dairy producers have followed suit with donation pledges of their own.
Van Dieten ships about 25 hundred to 3 thousand litres of milk a day - so he says it would take quite a performance to wipe out a whole day's production.
However, he's okay with that if it happens.
He says his cows are milking well right now and it's all for a good cause.
