It's official - the first of Ontario's two Avian Influenza Control Zones has been lifted.
This is the one near Woodstock.
The CFIA says the 21 day waiting period following cleaning and disinfection of the infected premises has been completed.
However, the second quarantine zone remains in effect.
That's the one near Kitchener, but still in Oxford County.
The CFIA says it's going to be July 29th before that one has gone through it's full 21 day waiting period.
The Agency points out that the removal of the control zones is a Canadian domestic measure and has no impact on the export of poultry or poultry products.
