Summary Tuesday Fed steers and heifers sold on a strong active trade at prices $1-2 higher. Choice strs and hfrs 206.00 - 210.00 sales to 217.50. Second cut 201.00 - 206.00. Aged & medium fed strs and hfrs 190.00 - 197.00. Cows sold steady. Thursday Heavier Holstein calves are trading on a very strong demand with prices $2-3 higher while Beef and Holstein veal sold steady. Lambs sold lower to the week’s market, sheep sold 5 to 10 cents higher, while goats sold slightly lower. Friday Calves sold on a strong active trade at prices $2-3 higher. Yearlings sold actively at prices steady to higher. Steers Chris Smith of Brussels consigned 14 steers that averaged 1570 lbs and sold for an average price of 211.74. Two limo steers averaged 1585 lbs and sold to Cargill Meat Solutions for 217.50.
Melvin H Sherk of Wellesley consigned 7 steers that averaged 1507 lbs and sold for an average price of 201.23. One limo steer weighed 1430 lbs and sold to Norwich Packers for 211.00.
Heifers Larry Reinhart Sr of Mildmay consigned 10 heifers that averaged 1314 lbs and sold for an average price of 205.76. Three limo heifers averaged 1372 lbs and sold to Norwich Packers for 214.00.
