Holstein Canada has hired someone to head up it's On-Farm Data Exchange Project.
The idea behind the project is to increase understanding of on-farm automation practices in the dairy improvement industry and develop ways to link on-farm data systems with Holstein Canada services.
Morgan Overvest joins Holstein Canada on June 1st to get the project rolling.
She's an MSc candidate from the University of Guelph .
Her Masters studies are focussed on dairy calf feeding behaviour
Holstein Canada says Overvest will be meeting with dairy producers and industry partners on-farm to conduct a thorough review of the automated systems in use and available data.
