The U-N Food and Agriculture Organisation's Food Price Index hit it's lowest level in almost 5 years in April.
The overall index was down 1 point 2 per cent from March, over 19 per cent lower than it was in April of last year.
The FAO says world dairy prices dropped the most - down 6 point 7 per cent from March.
It's Cereal Price Index was down 1 point 3 per cent from March and nearly 20 per cent lower than it was a year ago.
The FAO Meat Price Index was up 3 points from March.
That's the first increase in global meat values since August of last year.
