Grain Farmers of Ontario is taking aim at the provincial minister of Environment and Climate Change in it's battle against neonic restrictions.
The latest GFO statement calls on the Premier to rein-in the Minister.
It also urges the Premier to recognize the pace and force with with the regulations are being imposed is irresponsible and that the Minister has another agenda at play.
The GFO points to quotes from the Minister saying the new class of pesticide being created by the legislation could be used to add other pesticides.
The grain growers group also says the Minister - Glen Murray - has suggested he intends to go after other pesticide use and is promoting organic farming as one way to reduce climate change.
CEO Barry Senft says Murray isn't interested in the reality and impacts of the regulations, but rather has a broader agenda on modern agriculture.
