Grain Farmers of Ontario has fired off another volley in it's verbal war against the provincial government.
CEO Barry Senft says the decision not to extend the deadline for comments on the neonic proposals makes it very clear farmers in Ontario are not being considered.
That comment period ends May 7th.
GFO argues it's a critical time for farmers planting corn and soybeans - the people who stand to be most impacted by the proposed regulations.
Chair Mark Brock suggests the rush to implement the regulations is driven by wedge politics.
He says GFO wants to work with the government on solving the challenges facing pollinators.
But Brock claims the government seems totally focused on attacking the grain industry on behalf of agenda-driven anti-agriculture groups.
