Ontario poultry producers will be thankful for electronic communication.
The provincial Feather Board Command Centre is telling them not to visit their board offices and to avoid unnecessary contact with other poultry producers - especially at group meetings.
It's all part of the ongoing battle to contain the spread of avian influenza in the province's poultry sector.
The Centre wants board members and industry partners to conduct business from home, over the phone and/or by email.
The FBCC has posted a series of requirements if producers want to visit their board offices for any reasons.
That includes setting up an appointment and answering a series of questions, changing out of barn clothing, shoes or boots and washing vehicles as soon as possible after leaving the farm on the way to the board office.
Three Ontario poultry farms have been confirmed with A-I - two turkey farms and a chicken operation.
A number of other operations are in quarantine within two 10 kilometer control zones - one near Woodstock, the other near Kitchener.
