Provincial Agriculture officials are reminding the province's poultry producers the threat of avian influenza is not limited to Oxford County.
They point out the threat exists throughout the path of the migratory bird flyways - and that involves much of the province.
The ministry's latest biosecurity advisory warns proper dead stock handling is critical for limiting the spread of diseases like Avian Influenza.
According to OMAFRA, deceased birds should not leave the farm property unless producers have first consulted with a veterinarian.
The ministry is also encouraging any producers with a flock health issue to contact their vet as soon as possible.
Three bird flu locations in Ontario so far.
The original was the turkey farm near Woodstock.
Since then, a chicken farm and a turkey farm near Kitchener have been added to the list.
The last location - the turkey farm near Kitchener - was already within the 10 kilometer quarantine zone around the chicken farm location.
The CFIA says it completed depopulation of the Woodstock-area turkey farm April 10th and the Kitchener-area chicken farm on April 20th.
The birds on that second turkey farm in the Kitchener area are also being euthanized.
