Ontario farmers are being reminded that spring is also the time to be thinking about business risk management programs.
There are a number of federal-provincial programs available with different programs covering different risks.
The major ones are AgriStability, AgriInvest, Production Insurance and the Risk Management Program.
Some things are a little different with this year's programs.
For instance, AgriStability participation is no longer an eligibility requirement for participating in the Risk Management Program.
The AgriStability form has been streamlined to try to make it easier to complete.
A new direct deposit option was introduced in March.
And there are more online options available.
