A Perth County farmer has been recognized for his agricultural advocacy.
Brent Royce is this year's recipient of the Farm and Food Care Champion Award. The award recognizes a worthy agricultural advocate.
Royce was nominated by Turkey Farmers of Ontario and the Ontario Federation of Agriculture. He grows crops and raises turkeys on his family farm near Listowel. He is an AALP grad, volunteer with the Perth Federation of Agriculture and OFA director for Huron and Perth Counties.
Royce actively engages the public through social media using Twitter and has engaged audiences with several blog posts.
Turkey Farmers of Ontario's nomination referred to him as a passionate turkey farmer and great agricultural advocate.
