Strategy In The Works To Increase Overall Ontario Swine Health

Lessons learned from dealing with PED will likely be taken into account in a new Ontario swine health strategy currently being developed.

Ontario Pork Chair Amy Cronin says the goal of the strategy is to increase the overall health and reduce the threat of disease for the sector.

Cronin says the committee includes representatives from the animal health labs, government, vets and producers.

She's hoping they'll have something to implement for the Ontario swine sector later this year.
