Wellington Farm Writer Wins International Travel Bursary

A Wellington County woman is the winner of a national award.

Sharon Grose of Alma won the Canadian Farm Writers Federation International Bursary.

That bursary will cover up to 25 hundred dollars of her registration and travel expenses to attend the 2015 International Federation of Agricultural Journalists Congress in New Zealand.

Grose is a freelance agricultural journalist who's a regular contributor to the Ontario Farmer, among other publications.

She says the bursary gives her a chance to explore New Zealand and learn about agriculture and food production 'down under'.

The Canadian Farm Writers Federation International Bursary is sponsored by Monsanto.
