Opening foreign markets to Canadian beef is will put money in the pockets of Canadian producers.
Canadian Cattleman's Association vice president Dan Darling says the trade agreement with the European Union will open a huge new market for Canadian beef.
He says the Europeans also want beef products not usually saleable in Canada, things like tongue.
Darling says the same goes for a trade agreement with Korea.
"Offal, which we basically send to the renderers here, they'll pay as much as we will for sirloin, more in many cases. So those deals are a huge benefit for our producers."
Darling was a guest speaker at Beef Day at Grey Bruce Farmers Week in Elmwood.
