Statscan says the increase was 3 per cent.
The livestock and animal products index was up almost 20 per cent.
The crops index was down almost 11 per cent from September of 2013.
However, the month-over-month farm price index dropped.
It was down 3 point 2 per cent from August - making it the third decline in five months.
Both the crop and livestock and animal products indexes were down in September from August.
The crops index was down 4 and a half per cent - the livestock and animal products index was down point 2 per cent.
