Nominations are now open for the annual Ontario Soil Champion Award.
It recognizes people who have contributed to soil management in a way that directly influenced improved soil health and crop production sustainability in Ontario.
That includes making the most efficient use of nutrients, building the population and diversity of soil organisms and managing surface water to support reduced tillage systems.
Nomination information and forms are available either on the Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Website or by contacting the Association.
Deadline for nominations for the Ontario Soil Champion Award is November 30th.
