Fall Colour and Craft Festival returns to Lambton Heritage Museum

The Fall Colour and Craft Festival returns to the Lambton Heritage Museum in Grand Bend this weekend.

Lambton County Museums and Archives Marketing and Events Coordinator Jessica Stevenson is excited for the annual event.

"The festival is one of our most popular events and visitors look forward to it all year long,” said Stevenson. “With a wide variety of handmade products, holiday and festive items, historical demonstrations, and family-friendly crafts, there is something for everyone."

Stevenson said over 65 vendors are attending.

"Vendors will be selling an array of handmade products, including; art and home décor, bath products and candles, clothing and apparel, food and beverage, jewelry, needlework and textiles, pottery, signs, and woodworking," she said. "In addition to product offerings, a family-friendly craft will be available in the Rokeby School. Visitors can also witness historical quilting and timber-framing demonstrations."

Steven said they're also excited to show off changes at the museum.

"This year the museum will be open to visitors as part of admission to the craft sale. So, they can come in and see our new Lambton gallery, which opened in June. We had some renovations and we want visitors to be able to see it," Stevenson added.

A full list of vendors can be found here.

Admission is $5 for adults, seniors, and students, while children aged 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.

The festival is open Saturday, October 14 and Sunday, October 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Proceeds from the event support museum programing, exhibit renewal, and artifact conservation.
