The Municipality of Central Huron is now accepting applications for its 2023 Central Huron Façade Grant Program.
Mayor Jim Ginn explains the program is for commercial businesses.
“It's for commercial businesses that want to improve the facade, the frontage of their businesses. It's to help beautify and attractiveness of the municipality. So anything that's facing the street that people would notice when they're going into the stores," Ginn explained.
Ginn says the grant would cover 50 per cent of the cost of a project up to $5,000.
Ginn says the program has been very popular over the years.
“We'd like them to take pride in their businesses and a lot of times, especially if they're a retail business, they're not always flush with cash so we can help them out a little bit and improve the appearances of the businesses in our community and everybody seems to appreciate that," said Ginn.
Applications must be received by February 28, 2023. They should be sent to Central Huron Facade Program, Attention: Nicole Lowe, Records Clerk, Municipality of Central Huron, 23 Albert Street, Clinton, Ontario N0M 1L0
