Grey County business owners will get a hands-on look at how artificial intelligence can help them work smarter at a new event later this month.
The Business of AI, hosted by AREA 81 and the Owen Sound Chamber of Commerce, takes place Wednesday, November 26, 2025 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the SuiteSpots Classroom on 2nd Avenue East.
The free session will include a keynote from Chris Herbert, Co-founder of AREA 81 and Mi6 Agency, along with a panel on AI in business and the skilled trades. Attendees can also expect lightning pitches from local venture founders, networking opportunities, and discovery interviews.
AREA 81 is part of the Mi6 Agency, a marketing and business development firm founded in 2009 that helps small business owners grow through strategic leadership, marketing support, and entrepreneurship programs. The agency focuses on empowering and connecting rural entrepreneurs, with AREA 81 serving as an accelerator designed to help ventures in regions like Grey-Bruce leverage technology and innovation to scale.
Organizers say the meetup will show entrepreneurs how AI can enhance creativity and productivity, without replacing the human touch.
