Ontario Soybean-Based Lubricant Line Expanding

An Ontario company has expanded it's line of lubricants made from soybeans.

Smart Earth Corp is now marketing Eco Grease, Eco Bar and Chain Oil and Eco 2-Stroke Engine Oil.

It's Ecolub multi-purpose lubricant was launched two years ago.

The company has been working with Soy 20/20 on developing and marketing of it's products.

Soy 20/20 CEO Jeff Schmalz says that work should help ensure Canada's soybean industry captures some of the rapid growth in the value of the bio-based lubricant category for growers.

Smart Earth's Eco-branded products use high oleic soybean oil from specialty soybean varieties particularly suited for developing products with industrial applications.
